CC-BY Open Access Button

The Open Access Button was launched in November, and is the idea of two students, Joseph Mcarthur and David Carroll . Essentially, its purpose is to highlight the detrimental effects of publisher paywalls to research, and offer tools to try to find an open access version of the paper being searched for. The Open Access Button is a bookmarklet that you can add to the bookmark bar near the top of your browser, then click whenever you come across a paper that you can't get access to. It will be very interesting to see what develops from this project!
